Jazz is the teacher...

In addition to the fine ensembles listed above, the band's 3 piece lineup (Mike, Jim & Dave) will be appearing at the Abraham Darby Academy, Ironbridge Road, Madeley on Friday 8 July as part of a fund raising jazz evening to support the work of the Music Department in maintaining a very successful musical tradition which began in the 1960s. The Academy is one of the country's leading educational establishments in terms of musical opportunity for its students and the bands they play in, resulting in a high reputation within the youth music world - locally, regionally, nationally and even internationally!
Mike teaches woodwind at the Academy so this will be a rare chance for his students to see him in action. To put you in the mood, here are a few excerpts from the trio's recent performance at The Pheasant, Wellington.
